Degree and Certificate Programs
This program leads to an interesting and challenging career in the automotive service, sales, or supply field. This ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified program is designed for students who intend to pursue an automotive career in an established business or dealership.
The program includes diagnosis, tune-up, alignment, brakes, engines, transmission, fuel systems, four-wheel drive systems, and diesel engines. Students completing the Certificate Program are prepared for entry into an automotive career. Students completing the Associate of Applied Science Degree are prepared for more advanced positions in the automotive industry. Two options are available in the Degree Program. The Diesel Option specializes in diesel and light truck service. The General Automotive Option specializes in automobile service. Both options are compatible with each other.
Most classes are held in tri-semester blocks of approximately five weeks each. Open entry/open exit options are available for some classes.

Employment Information
The Automotive Technician career is one with an expanding future due to the highly technical nature of modern engineering and computer operated components. Students have the chance to become a Master Certified Automotive Technician through the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence and be nationally recognized as such. For the skilled technician, there is job security, job
versatility, and means for excellent advancement.
